aeSthetics, is an exact science, it is a judgment of taste that follows a ridged but true path to enlighten our soul through imagery, that simple but vast knowledge, enables us to capture moments, freeze instances, record time, or simply something aesthetically pleasing, which is the true interpretation of life through photography. Symmetrical or asymmetrical, transcendent or equal all art forms are accounted for in aesthetics, but the contemplation and definition is up to the observer.

Paul Machado is a Luso/American artist and photographer, born in Portugal in the small town of Torres Vedras, he immigrated to the United States from Portugal at 3 years old, leaving behind a totalitarian nation the he never knew. once in United States, Paul's family, his father a carpenter, his mother a housewife, moved into the Portuguese community of Newark, NJ about 2 years later in order to keep a connection with the culture and heritage, not knowing that this would create a divided identity that enhances creativity in Paul himself. In later years with bi-yearly visits to the motherland, Paul discovered the many facets of culture in his own life on one side the old, understated, sober but colorful, look that is Portuguese culture, and the new, riveting, melting pot that has made the United States, the pillar of artistic culture of the late 20th Century.
